When I was contacted by StyleVana last month for a collaboration project, I was immediately thrilled. Not only had I heard about them, but have also tried many of the brands listed on their website. So let’s get started. Here, are the products received/gifted from StyleVana, and you’ll also find a mini review of each of the product under the description.
I am also offering a special discount code for all you amazing blog followers, to get 10-15% off your purchases (exclusions may apply). You can find the code towards the end of this page.
Naturally, there’s a lot of love for both Korean and Japanese beauty brands, and the excitement just happens to build up. From an outsider perspective— to have both countries rooting for their versions of the coveted multi-step skin care ritual, keeps you on the edge. Both countries pride themselves on having healthy, flawless complexions, and skin care has integrated so deeply within their traditions.
Fortunately for us, this stirs up a healthy rivalry among the two countries, which results in high-quality, innovative and science-driven products with proven results. So you can only imagine how exciting it is to experience both distinctive cultures with an impressively large repertoire, all that at just one click away.
For those of you who don’t know, Stylevana is an online store that sells a wide range of Korean and Japanese beauty products.
With an impressive selection of skincare brands, this was definitely something I knew I had to try. The best part is, they ship worldwide to the US, UK, Australia, France, Canada, Sweden, Malaysia and are continuously expanding! In fact, as I’m told, they might even expand their shipping network to include more countries from the Middle East as well. So since they’re not yet delivering to the United Arab Emirates directly, alternatively, my order was dispatched and delivered to my Melbourne address.

Blithe Pressed Serum Velvet Yam
Blithe is a Korean cosmetic brand that puts a lot of focus on what goes in its formulations. Each product is formulated with an intent to take your beauty game a few notches higher, without compromising on quality or efficiency. The brands boasts a whole treasure trove of gentle, multi-tasking serums and essences for the modern day woman.
Suprisingly, it is their serum collection, which is available in four different varieties that is regarded the brand’s bestseller. Blithe’s pressed serum very cleverly combines two pivotal steps of the skincare ritual into just one. In other words, you can use this instead of your serum and moisturizer. A very practical solution for those who have little time on their hands for an elaborate skin care routine.
Blithe Velvet Yam Pressed Serum is designed for dry or dehydrated skin, especially for those living in a colder environment. Enriched with 68.5% mountain yam extract and a blend of nourishing botanical oils, it keeps your skin well hydrated and moisturized all day.
Why we love it?
Overall, the velvety texture of the serum makes it very easy to apply and leaves no greasy residue behind. It’s a such a fabulous all rounder! In terms of spreadability, it performs impressively. All you need is a pea-size amount of the serum each time to moisturize your entire face. Formula-wise— its a hydrating powerhouse!
The combination of glycerin, macadamia seed oil and shea butter, not only moisturizes your skin, but also creates a barrier to lock in all that precious moisture.
I particularly enjoy using this in the evening, after applying my retinol serum. The synergy of all the skin conditioning and nourishing ingredients gives it a superior edge over its competitors. Did I mention the rosewood scent? Also, I find it worth mentioning that their serums are mineral oil, paraben and alcohol-free.
Here’s another coveted K-beauty brand that I’ve always been keen to try. Their philosophy of simple, clean and minimal ingredient lists resonates with us on so many levels. When discussing brand identity and popularity, it is imperative to give reference to their serums.
While iUNIK has a total of six serums in their brand portfolio, needless to say, each one is formulated to target specific skin concerns. Their formulas are effective, affordable, and perfect for everyone, including those with sensitive skin types.
iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum
I’m currently using the Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum and the Tea Tree Relief Serum in my skincare routine. This was part of the daily trial kit, that contains three mini serums (each at 15ml).
Among all the three serums, I have particularly enjoyed using the propolis serum. It’s become a staple in my routine now, and looking at its ingredient list, I can see why its so popular in Korea. It’s an all rounder serum: you can use it to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, calm irritation and reduce redness associated with acne, or simply to boost your skin radiance.

Hada Labo Gokujyun Cleansing Oil
StyleVana ~ Japanese Beauty Brand
This pH-balanced Japanese cleansing oil effortlessly removes any traces of makeup, including your waterproof mascara and sunscreen. Since it contains olive oil, it vaguely reminds me DHC’s Deep Cleansing Oil. The only difference is, this feels less greasy upon application and that makes it a great step-1 cleanser. The cleansing oil contains high purity olive oil and hyaluronic acid, a combination that is meant to work. As an added bonus, it is also free of fragrances, alcohol and colours.
Make p:rem Hydrate Me
Why we love it?
This intensive moisturizing screams luxury. Formulated with Rubus Articus, this not only hydrates the skin but also claims to prevent premature aging. Aside from all the unique botanical extracts, it also contains ceramides and antioxidants to replenish the moisture and nourish the skin.
The formula of this cream is what seals the deal for us. They have brilliantly incorporated micro trans-moisture technology in this product to maximize hydration benefits. In simpler words, all the good ingredients will be readily absorbed into your skin, for a longer lasting effect. In addition, the moisturizer is free from parabens, sodium lauryl sulfates as well as synthetic dyes.
Heimish All Clean Balm
I’ve just started using this one. The Heimish All Clean Balm has a relatively solid consistency straight out of the tub. But this changes as soon as it touches your skin. It instantly softens and melts into a lightweight oil that easily dissolves all the makeup (waterproof included!) and impurities from your skin. Just be careful when using around your eyes, it does give you a blurry vision, which quickly goes away after rinsing with water.
