By now you should know that moisturizers come in many different textures, from lotions and gels, to hybrid phase-changing formulas and creams. But regardless of its texture, moisturizers are formulated with the same aim: to keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

For best results, always combine a nightly face oil with your moisturizer. This will not only help level out your skin’s natural sebum production, but also as lock in all the added anti-oxidant goodness in your skin.

Natural and Vegan Moisturizers

Shopping for skin care has always been a challenge. But with the rising concern for clean and conscious beauty, brands face more pressure than ever to be transparent and share more details with the consumer. Looking back, I see how the list of product ingredients has become a priority for most of us. Here, we’ve tried to make things a little easier for you. In case you’re looking for the best natural and vegan moisturizers available in the market, then you might want to bookmark this page! 🙂

Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Cream

Neals Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense

Why we love it?

As one of the oldest names in the natural cosmetics market, Neal’s Yard Remedies is one of my go-to brands for organic skin care. This one in particular, is my favourite. But if this is your first experience with the brand, know that their cream’s consistency is slightly thicker than other moisturizers that you might have used. Therefore, I recommend you use this at night. And if you have dry skin, your skin will love the slow, on-going hydration that this formula provides.

Despite the thick texture, it applies easily, absorbs well into the skin and leaves my face completely matte. Ladies, for best results, start using it early on, say – early thirties? That’s because it’s meant to help reduce the appearance of fine lines. You’ll wake up to soft, smooth and supple skin after using this. While I agree, it is more expensive than most moisturizers, it’s well worth it. In fact, one jar has enough to last for up to 3 months.

Kosmea Replenishing Moisture Cream

Kosmea Replenishing Moisture Cream Natural and Vegan Moisturizer

Why we love it?

Okay, turns out, I’m becoming a fan of this Australian-born brand! They use natural ingredients that actually work in their formulations. But what makes us love this moisturizer is its impressive blend of anti-oxidant ingredients including rosehip, green tea, horsetail extract and carrot oil. Despite the rick texture, it feels ultra-lightweight, sinking in almost immediately after it’s applied. The best part is, it comes in a simple easy-to-use tube. No fuss, no cross contamination, just simple application. It does have a noticeable floral scent to it, which may be something to keep in mind if you have any sensitivities.

OSEA Atmosphere Protection Cream

OSEA Atmosphere Protection Cream

Why we love it?

With a gel-like fluid texture, this one is good for day use – especially if you have dehydrated or combination skin. Formulated with all natural ingredients such as algae extract, coconut fatty acids and macadamia oil, it has everything you might need for a day time moisturizer. It also dries down matte, making it ideal to wear under makeup. It does have a subtle lavender scent to it, which may be something to keep in mind if you have any sensitivities.

Odacité Beautiful Day Moisturizer

Odacite Moisturizer

Why we love it?

This is another all-natural, certified organic moisturizer with a lightweight texture. It doesn’t leave an oily residue on your skin, absorbs very well and leaves your skin looking fresh after each use. The moisturizer is enriched with a blend of fresh, organic botanicals, including coconut and jojoba oil as well as aloe vera. It also includes MSM to stimulate collagen synthesis and DMAE to help firm and tighten skin. Overall, the healing ingredients in this makes it a great choice for sensitive skin, or those with oily or acne prone skin.

Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer

Boscia Cactus Moisturizer Natural and Vegan

Why we love it?

This water based moisturizer makes a great addition to summer routine. The formula focuses on hydrators such as hylauronic acid, aloe vera and succulent extracts. Aside from that, it is also enriched with a several other botanical extracts to help soothe and hydrate the skin. From china berry, to turmeric, aloe vera, to jojoba seed and all the way down to the famous, cactus extract. Texture wise, it reminds me of aloe vera gel, absorbs quickly into the skin and hydrates without feeling sticky or tacky.

Shirley Conlon Fountain of Youth Face Cream

Natural and Vegan Moisturizer Shirley Conlon Organics

Why we love it?

Proudly Dubai-made and owned, Shirley Conlon Organics for me, is a brand that feels like home. This moisturizer is fortified with evening primrose, sodium hyaluronate and antioxidant Q10. But it doesn’t end there. There’s also rosehip seed oil, aloe vera, buckthorn, glycerin and tocopherol that synergistically transforms this cream into an elixir that Shirley calls, her Fountain of Youth. On application, it feels incredibly light, sinks right in and leaves no greasy feeling through the day. I’ve used this in humid weather as well, and it’s worked great. All in all, a fabulous addition to your organic/vegan beauty arsenal!

Nourish London Argan Skin Renew Moisturizer

Natural and Vegan Moisturizer Nourish London

Why we love it?

With a light and creamy texture, this daily moisturizer delivers a powerful blend of botanicals and antioxidants to nourish your skin. It combines together an omega rich base of Argan oil, Selaginella Lepidophylla (better known as Rose of Jericho, a desert plant) with kale seed oil, wild rose, borage, aloe vera, vitamin E, frankincense oil and myrrh oil. Overall, this offers you great value for money and out performs some of the leading luxury brands out there. Read more about Nourish London range here.

Mukti Organics Hydrating Moisturizer

Mukti Organics Hydrating Moisturizer

Why we love it?

I chanced upon this brand during my last trip to Melbourne, right before the covid-19 pandemic. Mukti Organics is a certified organic, vegan and cruelty-free skin care range. This Aussie-born brand uses high quality all-natural ingredients in their products. Their hydrating moisturizer is infused with bioactive native extracts of Kakadu Plum, Banksia and Flame Tree (providing naturally occurring Vitamin C) as well as hand blended antioxidants. Among them, coenzyme Q10, kukui nut, rosehip, carrot seeds and pomegranate. Not only will this help improve skin elasticity and hydration, but also support the skin against environmental stressors.

Anti-Aging Regenerative Day Cream

Dermae Anti-aging Natural and Vegan Moisturizer

Why we love it?

I’ve paired this with rosehip seed oil daily and I have noticed a major difference in my skin texture and overall firmness. This combines two antioxidants: Astaxanthin and Pycnogenol, which is 50 times more potent than vitamin E. Further, it also contains Panthenol (provitamin B5), vitamin E, jojoba seed oil, vitamin C ester and retinol. However, since the retinol appears in the mid-section of the ingredient list, presumably its concentration may not be as high as your standard high-potency retinol. But overall, as an antioxidant blend, with an affordable price tag, we’re impressed.

In the end, your skincare routine will work best if you custom built it to your skin type, concerns and sensitives and it’s always best to consult your dermatologist.

I am a convert to the Nourish London moisturizer ( and their Argan serum) since 2 friends told me how great my skin looks (never happened before!). Thanks for Mukti tip as I haven’t heard of them but it looks really nice too.

Thank you so much for sharing, I have extremely dry skin, and as a vegan, it’s so difficult to find products that help to moisturize my skin, while being natural and without toxic ingredients
